Criminology
Some people are driven to crime out of desperation, and others because of a complex interplay of personality and circumstances. Criminologists study why people commit crimes, what sort of crimes are committed, and how best to punish and deter people from entering the criminal world. It is a multi-disciplinary subject, using theories and methods from psychology, sociology, law and psychiatry.
